Affordable Decor Finds That Look Expensive

Why does home decor add up so fast?

You go into the store for one thing and somehow leave thinking you need a new blanket, candles, pillows, a vase, wall art, and suddenly a whole new coffee table too.

And honestly, I think a lot of people feel pressure to make their homes look expensive just for the space to feel nice.

But some of the best spaces are not about spending the most money. They come from good styling, balance, warm textures, lighting, and pieces that actually work together.

That’s one of the reasons I love sharing affordable decor finds inside my Facebook community, Designer Eye Finds. I’m always showing pieces from stores like HomeGoods, Marshalls, TJ Maxx, Ross, Burlington, Hobby Lobby, Walmart, and local finds because I want people to see that everyday decor can still be styled beautifully.

I even create mockups inside stores sometimes to help people visualize how affordable pieces can come together to create a home that feels calm, cozy, intentional, and comforting after a long day.

That’s really the difference.

A home does not have to be filled with expensive furniture and decor to feel elevated and put together. Sometimes it’s just about knowing what works in the space, what brings balance, and what makes your home feel like the hug you needed when you walk through the door.
